Here is a short video that shows some of the highlights of our last year in Nepal. Enjoy!
Firstly, I want to offer my apologies for letting so much time go between updates. But I also want to thank you for joining and partnering with us and or work in Nepal in spite of that. Your prayers and support help make all that we do possible. Thank you!
We have a very exciting last few months! We were blessed to be able to visit Colorado and Michigan for the holidays. It was a great time with family and we were able to share our vision for our next venture with many of you. Shortly after we returned to Nepal we signed an agreement to lease more land next to the Banquet House. We immediately started working and about a month later the construction of our new building was basically finished! Things tend to go pretty slowly here, but we had a lot of grace and favor and help and I am very grateful.
I am happy to introduce to you the Potter's House! This new building will house our creativity workspace and I am excited for all the lives that will be changed here. At the Banquet House we are already doing what we can to love and feed and serve the poor in Kathmandu and at the Potter's House we are looking for that next step to further transformation. Our desire is for this place to be a blessing to the poor and oppressed in Kathmandu. Through the avenues of relationship and creativity I believe that God is going to transform minds and hearts and lives.
In the coming weeks I will be building the kiln (finally!!!) and setting up the pottery workspace. Please pray for continued grace, favor, provision and for all the lives that will be changed. If you would like to find out how you can help meet specific financial needs I can send you a list upon request, and you can find directions for giving here!
We also had the privilege to go to Singapore last week for an Iris Global gathering with other bases working throughout Asia. It was awesome to gather and hear what God is doing all around the world! We got to hear stories of people working in some of the most difficult, dark, challenging and broken places in the world and see how the joy and hope and love of Jesus is shining brighter than ever in the face of such pain, darkness and suffering. It was a time of encouragement and new vision. I wish I could better articulate how awesome our God is and how awesome His love is for us! But for now I pray that you are doing well and that Jesus would reveal Himself to you more and more!
Thanks again for joining with us!
